Who is Gilbert King?
Gilbert King is an American author and journalist. He is best known for his book “Devil in the Grove: Thurgood Marshall, the Groveland Boys, and the Dawn of a New America,” which won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction in 2013. The book focuses on the events surrounding a 1949 case in Florida involving four black men who were wrongfully accused of rape and the role that Thurgood Marshall played in their defense.
